Actress and conservative activist Stacey Dash is running for Congress as a Republican candidate in California’s 44th district to replace Rep. Nanette Barragan (D). Federal Election Commission documents prove it.

Dash became famous for her hilarious role as Dionne in “Clueless” in 1995, where she played the best friend of Alicia Silverstone’s Cher. Years later, she burst into the conservative movement, speaking out against President Obama’s policies. She worked as a Fox News contributor from 2013 to 2016.

In a sit down interview with Townhall in 2016 about her new book “There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative,” Ms. Dash explained how she had been ostracized by Hollywood for her conservative ideology. She seemed to have no regrets.

Earlier this month, Dash asked for her supporters’ thoughts on whether she should pursue a political career.

Editor’s Note: Dash is an outspoken pro-life advocate. She is one of the few actresses in Hollywood who is openly pro-life, but there was a time when she did not think that way and almost aborted her son.She has also gone after the Planned Parenthood abortion business for killing black babies in abortions.

Dash explained her frustration like this: “I am so sick of hearing Planned Parenthood and their abortion allies on the Left claim to be pro-women and pro-minorities. The facts just don’t back up their boasts. If you are so pro African American communities, Planned Parenthood, stop targeting black women and aborting our children.”
