A Georgia abortion clinic apparently offers discounts to military service members who want to abort their later-term unborn babies.

Priests for Life and Abortion Free New Mexico made the discovery in a new undercover call to the Feminist Women’s Health Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The abortion facility aborts healthy unborn babies up to 21 weeks and five days.

The clinic asked the undercover investigator if she was currently in the military, an indication that it may provide discounts to women serving in the armed forces.

Investigator: Yeah, how far in the pregnancy do you offer abortions?

Clinic: 21 weeks and five days.

Investigator: Ok. Um, I’m 20 weeks today so I was just wondering. Am I, like, am I able to get the abortion even if I don’t have any health issues and if the pregnancy is healthy?

Clinic: Yeah.

Investigator: And how much is the procedure?

Clinic: Do you have Medicaid or are currently serving in the military?

Investigator: No, I’ll just pay cash. … How much is it?

Clinic: For 20 weeks, it’s $1,670.

The receptionist also stated that they only abort unborn babies up to 21 weeks and five days because of state laws.

“Once again, this investigation reveals that it only takes a matter of minutes for a healthy mother who is pregnant with a healthy baby to schedule a late-term abortion in this country,” said Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, and Bud and Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico in a statement.

“Abortion Free New Mexico and Priests for Life continue to document states all across America that are performing late-term abortions beyond 20 weeks of pregnancy. Georgia law allows babies to be killed in the womb up to 22 weeks of pregnancy,” they continued. “Feminist Women’s Health Center screens patients to see if they have Medicaid to fund the abortion which, at 20 weeks of pregnancy, is $1,670. They also ask if you are ‘serving in the military’ to qualify for a discount.”

In the past year, the pro-life investigators found more than two dozen abortion facilities willing to abort healthy, late-term unborn babies as late as 32 weeks of pregnancy, including facilities in New Jersey, New York, Washington, D.C., New Mexico, Washington state and Florida. Some offered women appointments as early as the next day.

By 20 weeks, strong scientific evidence indicates unborn babies can feel pain. Their major organs are functioning, they have their own unique fingerprints, and they suck their thumbs, yawn and perform other motions much like a born baby.

At this stage, unborn babies are almost fully formed and are approaching the point of viability. The youngest premature baby to survive was 21 weeks and 4 days, according to the journal Pediatrics.
