Catholic Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly Won’t Denounce Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz

Yesterday we called upon Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly, a Catholic Democrat from South Bend, to publicly denounce the Indiana Democratic Party’s honoring of Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky CEO Betty Cockrum this Friday night at its Hoosier Hospitality dinner in Indianapolis.

Update: silence from Sen. Donnelly.

According to the Indiana Democratic Party, it plans to present Ms. Cockrum with a lifetime achievement award this Friday. A conservative estimate, based on PP’s own annual reports, is that 100,000 babies have been aborted by PP in Indiana during Cockrum’s time as CEO.

PP is currently suing the state of Indiana to block civil rights protections for unborn babies based on gender, race, national origin or disability; to block humane disposal of aborted babies; and to block a requirement that women see an ultrasound of their babies at least 18 hours before an abortion.

This award will be noted with shame and embarrassment when the history of the Indiana Democratic Party is written. Sadly, however, the award is consistent with the Democratic National Committee’s new mantra of demanding that all Democrats support abortion.

Keep up with the latest pro-life news and information on Twitter.

Please call Sen. Donnelly today and ask him to do the right thing by denouncing this award to the CEO of Indiana largest abortion business.
