The concepts of diversity and tolerance are championed at workplaces, in academia, and in the media. And yet diversity is being destroyed everyday–and tolerance is being severely undermined–by the abortion industry.

Pastor Clenard Childress notes that more than 1,700 black babies die from abortion each day in America. He adds more than 20 million African-American boys and girls have been killed from abortion since 1973, when the tragic U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade legalized abortion nationwide.
Similarly, abortions in the Latino community have been sadly on the rise. Data from New Mexico show a disproportionate number of Hispanic women undergoing abortions. In the past few years, abortions have also been generally increasing among Latinas in Pennsylvania.

The abortion industry also routinely fights tolerance by promoting the extermination of those with “fetal anomalies”–a euphemistic term for babies with disabilities. it is estimated that 90 percent of children diagnosed with Down Syndrome in the womb are aborted. Abortionists and pro-abortion interest groups routinely try to block legislation that would protect preborn children with disabilities from harm.
The diversity of the human family–made up of people from different racial and ethnic backgrounds–should be celebrated. Children with special needs should be cherished–not discarded like refuse. The very values that abortion apologists claim to honor–diversity and tolerance–are obliterated each day in abortion facilities, which have taken a staggering 59 million lives since 1973.
A quote attributed to Dr. Alveda King, niece of legendary civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, says it best: “A majority, perhaps as many as 75 percent, of abortion clinics are in areas with high minority populations. Abortion apologists will say this is because they want to serve the poor. You don’t serve the poor, however, by taking their money to terminate their children.”
