New Pro-Abortion Democrat Party Chair Tom Perez is Pro-Abortion, Has Ties to George Soros

The new head of the national Democratic Party is just as much of a pro-abortion radical as his predecessor, pro-abortion congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

After a shocking loss last November in the presidential election, where pro-abortion candidate Hillary Clinton went down to a stunning defeat, Democrats elected Tom Perez to lead the Democratic National Committee and rebuild the party.

Perez is a familiar name as he is the former labor secretary in the Obama Administration He was considered the heavy favorite among establishment Democrats like the Clintons. He defeated pro-abortion Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, who became the party’s vice-chairman after his defeat.

But when it comes to pro-life issues, not only is pressed Perez pro-abortion he’s connected to billionaire abortion activist George Soros.

A report in the Washington Free Beacon newspaper chronicles a partnership Perez has with one of the top money-men behind the pro-abortion movement in the United States, George Soros.

Prior to running for office, Perez was the president of CASA de Maryland, a Latino advocacy group that admittedly served immigrants regardless of legal status.

The group attracted financial support of George Soros and Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela after Perez’s tenure as president ended. CASA received more than $750,000 from groups linked to the billionaire hedge fund manager, as well as $1.5 million from Citgo, the state-owned oil company that helped make the socialist dictator a billionaire.

Perez received thousands of dollars in consulting fees for his work with the Public Health Institute, a nonprofit group that has received $260,000 from George Soros’ Open Societies Foundation. Perez consulted for the California Endowment between 2001 and 2009; the group is interested in expanding insurance coverage to low-income earners, including immigrants.

Perez served as a board member to the left-wing Center for American Progress Action Fund, which has received more than $7 million from Soros since 2004. From 2007 to 2009, Perez served on the anti-poverty group ActionAid, which received $2.2 million from Tides and several of its partner foundations.

Soros is behind groups that have attacked the Catholic bishops for opposing the Obamacare HHS mandate that forces religious groups to fund drugs that may cause abortions, he gave the pro-abortion group Human Rights Watch $100 million to expand its efforts globally, and he funded fake Catholic groups that helped cover up Obama’s pro-abortion record in the 2012 and 2008 elections.

Perez faced opposition previously from pro-life advocates because he targeted their free speech rights.

“In his tenure as the head of the Civil Rights Division in Eric Holder’s corrupt Department of Justice, Perez has overtly politicized the justice system to advance his own leftist ideology,” says Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel. “He attempted to implement a nation-wide demonization of peaceful pro-lifers using false charges.”

“August of 2010, the Liberty Counsel litigation team represented Susan Pine, a well-known pro-life sidewalk counselor in Florida,” he said. “Using the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) for cover, Thomas Perez, in his role as chief attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ, alleged that Pine “obstructed” a car entering a Florida abortion clinic nearly a year earlier. The DOJ’s suit alleged that Pine posed an “immediate threat” and therefore must be fined the maximum penalty of $10,000.”

He concluded: “In the end, the federal judge hearing the complaint severely reprimanded Perez for frivolously filing the suit with no valid evidence and no corroborating witnesses to the alleged infraction. As Liberty Counsel conclusively proved in court, there was no infraction in the first place! Liberty Counsel showed Thomas Perez to be a politically motivated prosecutor enacting the will of a corrupt Attorney General and a President intent on doing the bidding of pro-abortion forces, all for political reasons.”

Perez also has another pro-abortion skeleton in his closet.

The Obama administration, in 2011, posted a new document to the White House web site touting its efforts to combat sex trafficking in the United States. But the document ignored Planned Parenthood — the abortion business where undercover investigations revealed staff willing to arrange for abortions for sex traffickers.

Tom Perez, the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the US Department of Justice and Obama’s selection for Labor Secretary, authored the document, “Protecting the Rights of Women and Girls.”

“Human trafficking — the equivalent of modern day slavery — is an affront to human dignity, and goes against everything our country stands for.  And yet, it occurs in so many communities; workers are exploited for labor behind closed doors, hidden from the public eye.  This includes horrific incidents of sex trafficking, where women and girls are forced into prostitution, often after being lured from other countries with promises of legitimate employment and better lives,” Perez says.

That description perfectly describes the sting operation that took place at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. In the video, actors inquire about testing for sexually transmitted diseases and contraception and birth control for their female underage sex slaves, who they describe as coming from out of the country. Planned Parenthood officials say they want to help the pair make their whole operation “look as legit as possible.”

The clinic manager, Amy Woodruff, an LPN who has since been fired, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws.

“Even if they lie, just say, ‘Oh he’s the same age as me, 15,’…it’s just that mainly 14 and under we have to, doesn’t matter if their partner’s the same age, younger, whatever, 14 and under we have to report,” Woodruff says. “Like on the paperwork there’s going to be a point that asks, uh, like are you sexually active, stuff like that … if they’re under a certain age… – you know, me and my other counselor, like for the most part we want as little information as possible – cause we don’t want to be involved…”

Woodruff also recommends how the pimp can get his prostitutes cheaper contraception by claiming they are “students.”

“If they’re minors, put down that they’re students. Yeah, just kind of play along that they’re students–we want to make it look as legit as possible,” Woodruff is caught saying in the videotape.

Live Action, which filmed the New Jersey video, filmed numerous other videos showing staff at Planned Parenthood abortion centers engaging in similar actions supporting and helping admitted sex traffickers with abortions, birth control and STD testing. But none of that makes its way into the White House document Perez authored on the Obama administration’s efforts to combat sex trafficking.

Marie Tasy, the head of New Jersey Right to Life, told LifeNews at the time: “The Obama administration condemns human trafficking and sex trafficking of young girls as “the equivalent of modern slavery” and calls it “an affront to human dignity” and says it “goes against everything our country stands for,”  yet it has been silent and refused to act to enforce the law against Planned Parenthood, an organization that has repeatedly been caught on video willing to aid and abet in the sex trafficking of minors.”

“It is the height of hypocrisy and irresponsibility for the Obama administration to claim that the Justice Department is committed to the aggressive prosecution of sex trafficking and then fail to enforce the law against an organization that was caught on videotape repeatedly aiding and abetting the sex traffickers of minors,” she said.
