15-Year-Old Disney Star Rowan Blanchard is a Huge Advocate for Abortion

Young Disney actress Rowan Blanchard has been advocating for abortion again in the past few weeks by touting the work of Planned Parenthood to her millions of followers.

The Daily Wire, which first noticed Blanchard’s social media posts, reports the 15-year-old actress has nearly 5 million Instagram followers. She is known for her role on the short-lived TV spin-off show “Girl Meets World.”

Last week, she posted a photo on Instagram that said: “Women will always have abortions: They will either be safe and legal or unsafe and illegal.”

The way that Blanchard is misleading her followers — many of whom likely are young and impressionable — is disturbing.

As the Daily Wire’s Amanda Prestigiacomo wrote:

… the insinuation that pro-lifers are racist and unfeeling is pure leftism: When you lack an argument, cast your opponents as any “-ist” you can think of. Further, her idea that abortion is not the business of pro-lifers would have to be applied to her own logic, destroying her presumed point that Planned Parenthood should get our taxpayer dollars. In other words, if it’s none of my business, why must I fund it?

Last February, Blanchard told Paper Magazine that she admires Planned Parenthood for providing teenage girls with “a non-judgmental place where it’s safe.” The actress also provided her definition of feminism, “Feminism to me means equality.”

Yet this too is misleading and inconsistent with Planned Parenthood’s actions. Planned Parenthood does not support equality for all. Rather, studies show the abortion group places its abortion facilities in areas that target minorities. And certainly Planned Parenthood’s refusal to withhold abortion for the reason of sex-selection is reflective of its lack of concern for women.

The advice Planned Parenthood provides for teenagers also is concerning. For example, the abortion provider openly encourages promiscuity. As LifeNews previously reported, Planned Parenthood posted on its Tumbler account this advice from “expert” Alex: “Since the number of sexual partners you’ve had doesn’t say anything about your character, your morals, or your personality – or about anything at all really– there’s nothing bad or unhealthy about having a big number of sexual partners.”

But Blanchard’s social media followers will not see this side of the abortion chain from her. The young actress is one of many celebrities who have been promoting Planned Parenthood as Congress moves to defund it. The abortion group does about 320,000 abortions a year and receives about half a billion tax dollars.

Earlier in January, Blanchard posted information on Instagram about a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood, hosted by her mother. The young actress said she planned to attend the Yoga-thon in Los Angeles to show her support for the “imperiled” abortion group.

Blanchard first revealed her avid support for the abortion group last year when she called Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards her “role model” in an interview with Paper Magazine.
