Planned Parenthood Will Lead March on Washington to Declare Abortion a “Human Right”

The Women’s March on Washington, sponsored by several leading pro-abortion groups, will be held on January 21, 2017 to bring together abortion activists from around the country. In the latest news about the march, LifeNews has learned that the Planned Parenthood abortion business is now a lead sponsor and organizer.

The march comes in response to President-elect Donald Trump’s stunning victory over pro-abortion candidate Hillary Clinton — who Planned Parenthood spent $30 million to support. Although not its brainchild, the pro-abortion march is now something the abortion company is helping lead:

The march emerged as a grassroots effort in the days after election, but after the Facebook event went viral, traditional political organizers and groups became involved. The four co-chairs are now Linda Sarsour (executive director of the Arab American Association of New York), Tamika D Mallory (political organizer and former executive director of the National Action Network), Carmen Perez (executive director of political action group The Gathering for Justice) and Bob Bland (a fashion designer who focuses on ethical manufacturing).

Planned Parenthood has just become an official partner of the march and will assist leaders in providing staff and large-scale event planning knowledge.

Planned Parenthood got involved specifically because it thinks the march will “send a strong message to the incoming administration that millions of people across this country are prepared to fight attacks on reproductive healthcare, abortion services and access to Planned Parenthood,” said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Planned Parenthood has helped shape the march’s policy agenda, and in return, it hopes that many of the protesters will mobilize in its defense when Trump and congressional Republicans make their attempt to strip the organization of millions in federal funding.

This march intends to affirm abortion and women’s rights as “human rights,” a National Organization of Women’s press release announced earlier this month.

“There is no better place for us to deliver this message than Washington, D.C. on the first day of the new administration,” NOW said in a statement. “NOW stands in unwavering solidarity with our sisters whose communities have been insulted, demonized and threatened in recent months, including … those who seek–and the caring professionals who provide–safe, affordable abortion care and birth control.”

Sarsour explains the march as a “stand on social justice and human rights issues ranging from race, ethnicity, gender, religion, immigration and healthcare” — except for the human rights of people before birth.

The march will start at Lincoln Memorial and end at the White House, Bob Bland, the organizer of the event told the Daily Mail.

How ironic that abortion can be considered a “human right” when it denies humanity to the least and most innocent of its own citizens who do not have the opportunity to march for their lives or anyone else’s lives. How can something be a human right that denies humanity to more than 664,435 unborn children, per 2013 Centers for Disease Control statistics?

For a country that claims to deserve a place on a pedestal on the United Nations Human Rights committee do while criticizing Russian human rights policies or China’s barbaric One Child Policy, it seems very hypocritical to be marching for such a cause.
