The Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Columbia, Missouri closed for the day rather than stay open int he face of local pro-life residents who showed up to pray outside.

Mike & Kathy Forck, directors of the 40 Days for Life campaign i Columbia, explained what happened.

“Columbia Planned Parenthood will no longer be open on Saturdays,” they said. “Planned Parenthood was listed on their website as being open. However, all day cars came and went and Planned Parenthood did not open their doors.  Every day they are closed, means that babies and women are saved.”

Eventually they noticed the following sign on the door of the clinic. It is hard to read but it says:

Attention Patients:

We will no longer be open on Saturdays.  We
apologize for any inconvenience and we thank you
for your continued patronage.

“When Planned Parenthood decreases hours, it means business is OFF!  What a great victory to happen especially during the 40 Days For Life Prayer Vigil!  When business is off, less abortions happen,” they added.

Shawn Carney, the national director of 40 Days for Life, says this is one of many ways the Planne Parenthood abortion company responds to 40 Days for Life.

“Unlike real healthcare providers, Planned Parenthood is constantly trying to justify their work,” he says. “As the largest abortion operation in the United States, they either downplay their abortions or attempt to market themselves as healthcare providers.  Just a few days into 40 Days for Life’s 125-city UNITED bus tour, we’ve seen both responses. In some instances, Planned Parenthood closed for the day and sent the staff home early before the bus arrived.”

“At other times, they tried to rally supporters to confront the 40 Days for Life UNITED bus tour with demonstrators in pink shirts. Planned Parenthood has even been known to pay protesters to participate in similar events. Planned Parenthood’s responses are unlike any professional medical provider — and your presence highlights that,” he said.
