Singer Sia and actress Leslie Jones are headlining a rally tomorrow in Cleveland to promote abortion and promote forcing taxpayers to fund abortions. It’s the latest in the abortion movement’s move away from so-called “pro-choice” towards full-fledged pro-abortion.

Fortunately, pro-life advocates will be there to speak up.

Students for Life of America is hosting a national Women Betrayed Protest to counter the “All Access” event at the Wolstein Center, featuring Sia, organized by Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice America, the Whole Woman’s Health abortion business, and other abortion advocates.

The protest will be a demonstration against an entire industry that has betrayed the very women they claim to help and protect when they push abortion above all else.

“This movement was born out of the gut reaction from the Center for Medical Progress videos released last summer showing Planned Parenthood executives callously discussing how much money they could get for the body parts of the babies they abort,” said Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America. “Young women came out in droves to protest Planned Parenthood, showing their utter shock at the despicable ways in which the abortion industry sought to make a profit off of their crisis.”

Australian jazz artist Sia and “Ghostbusters” reboot actress Leslie Jones are among those scheduled to perform at a pro-abortion event hosted by the coalition on Sept. 10 in Cleveland.

Others include Comedy Central’s Jessica Williams and eight-time Latin Grammy winner Natalia Lafourcade, according to the report. The event is free, but tickets are required.

“All Access is such an inclusive group that I’m proud to be part of this,” Sia said in a news release. “We all need to stand together and be a part of creating the future we hope to see.’”

A staffer at a local abortion clinic, writing to turn out more abortion activists for the event, talked about its attempt to force taxpayers to promote abortion. She couches the forced taxpayer financing of abortion in terms of discrimination against poor women.

For 40 years, politicians have used the Hyde Amendment to take away low-income women’s ability to make meaningful decisions about pregnancy. This has caused real harm to women’s health and lives, especially because so many women in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio are qualified for Medicaid health insurance. We know that restricting Medicaid coverage of abortion forces one in four poor women nationally to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term. Women who are denied an abortion are more likely to slip into poverty.

“We want to tell women that they deserve better than abortion, better than being forced to go to sub-standard medical facilities with rusty equipment,” said Hawkins. “We want women to know that there are resources for them when facing unplanned pregnancies, and we, the pro-life movement, have always been there and will continue to be there for them as the abortion industry’s betrayal continues to happen.”

A new poll by Students for Life found that most young adults do not support the abortion lobby’s radical agenda.

Other polling found that 66 percent of young people oppose taxpayer funding of abortion. Currently, one of the abortion lobby’s top goals is to overturn the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayer funding of abortions.
