Lena Dunham: Elect Hillary Clinton Because She Thinks Abortion Should be a “Human Right”

During last  night’s Democratic convention, abortion activists ad Planned Parenthood spokeswoman Lena Dunham applauded pro-abortion Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton for saying abortion should be a human right.

Dunham, of course, was careful to couch that notion in the typical pro-abortion “women’s rights” phraseology — which makes her declaration worse. Not only does Dunham (and Clinton) think snuffing out the life of an unborn child is a part of women’s rights, they think it is a human right as well. nevertheless, Dunham lauded Hillary for coming to the conclusion that abortion is a human right 22 years ago and she told Democrats in Philadelphia that was a marquee reason to elect her president.

Here’s what Duham said and a video clip of her pro-abortion remarks:

Lena: I’m a pro-choice, feminist, sexual assault survivor with a chronic reproductive illness. Donald and his party think I should be punished for exercising my constitutional rights, and his rhetoric about women takes us back to a time when we were meant to be beautiful and silent. Meanwhile, 22 years ago, Hillary declared that women’s rights are human rights. And she made it possible for my fellow sexual assault survivors in my home state of New York to have access to safe, immediate care in any emergency room. Hillary knows that access and opportunity are the American promise – not transphobia, Islamophobia, xenophobia, and systemic racism. She knows that hatred of all kinds is ours collectively to change, not to ignite for the craven purpose of seeking power.

Clinton has repeatedly said unborn children have no Constitutional rights.
