Pro-lifers are calling out the Bank of America for its continued support of the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

This week, the group Pro-Life Waco has been staging protests asking the bank to end its employee matching grant program with the abortion business. According to the group: “Pro-Life Waco is leading a campaign to convince national management of Bank of America to completely terminate its financial support for Planned Parenthood. Bank of America includes Planned Parenthood in its 100% match to employees donations.”

Live Action News reports more:

The campaign, dubbed ProtestBOA, began last year when John Pisciotta, founder of Pro-life Waco, began with his local Waco branch after confirming that BOA funded Planned Parenthood in its employee matching gifts program. Pisciotta said that since ProtestBOA began in Waco, it has expanded to branches in Austin, Lubbock and Albuquerque. He said that he began the protests in response to the undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood “deeply and callously involved in the market for fetal organs.”

“Additionally, the protests’ motivation includes the horrific fact that Planned Parenthood clinics in the USA commit over 300,000 abortions each year. By its actions, Planned Parenthood has disqualified itself from financial support from corporate America.”

In addition to Planned Parenthood, a quick look at past Bank of America Charitable Foundation, Inc. 990’s shows that they also contributed to the abortion giant’s former research arm, the Guttmacher Institute.

The documents show about $2,500 in donations to Planned Parenthood and $615 to the pro-abortion research group.

Earlier this week, pro-lifers stood outside of the bank’s international headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, with signs and talked with customers about the cause. Pisciotta said the responses generally were positive.

“There was none of the harshness from the other side that we get every once in a while in Austin. Generally, people either walked by or were positive,” he said. “As expected, there were a lot of people thanking us for being on-site and standing for life.”

The group also is encouraging more pro-lifers across the country to get involved by staging their own protest outside a location in their area or visiting with local bank managers to ask that they drop the donation program to Planned Parenthood. More details are available on the group’s website.

The Bank of America is one of a number of companies that supports the abortion group. Pro-lifers have been increasing their efforts to expose these companies’ contributions to Planned Parenthood in the wake of undercover videos exposing the abortion group’s trafficking of aborted baby body parts. Some companies began distancing themselves from the abortion giant after the undercover videos came out, but others, including Ben & Jerry’s, Bath and Body Works and Pfizer, still appear to be supporting the group.

Some state governments also have programs that promote employee donations to the abortion giant. In 2015, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey kicked out Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups from the state employee charitable giving program.
