During a campaign stop this week in Iowa, Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina welcomed a group of children and their teachers and parents to a pro-life forum she hosted at a museum.
However, one parent is accusing the pro-life candidate of “ambushing” the preschool children and pushing them to join her event, The Guardian reports.
Fiorina, who has spoken out strongly against abortion throughout her campaign, hosted the right to life event at the Greater Des Moines botanical garden where the preschoolers were on a field trip, the report states.
“Entering the rally, before a crowd of about 60 people, she directed around 15 young children towards a makeshift stage,” the report states.
One of the students’ parents, Chris Beck, blamed Fiorina for pushing the children to join her rally. He told the news outlet that he was not asked if the candidate could interact with his son or take him to the rally.
“Taking them into a pro-life/abortion discussion [was] very poor taste and judgment,” Beck said. “I would not want my 4-year-old going to that forum- he can’t fully comprehend that stuff. He likes dinosaurs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers.”

“And after today, she wouldn’t get my vote for sure,” the father added.
Sarah Isgur Flores, a spokeswoman for the Fiorina campaign, told LifeNews that Fiorina regularly has children attend her speaking events.
“In Des Moines yesterday, a group of preschoolers along with their parents and teachers followed Carly right into the event she was speaking at for Iowa Right to Life. Earlier, she’d run into the kids in the Botanical Gardens and watched the Koi with them for a while,” Flores said. “I guess the kids must have thought she was pretty neat because then their teachers and parents and the kids all followed Carly into the event complete with Carly stickers.”
While Fiorina often speaks about abortion and Planned Parenthood selling aborted babies’ body parts, she does not appear to have exposed the preschool children to information that some might consider too graphic. According to the report, Fiorina spoke about abortion and showed the model of a 4-month unborn baby sucking its thumb.
“This is the face of abortion,” Fiorina told the crowd, as she stood behind a banner with the photo of a 5-month unborn baby in the womb.
In the past few months, Fiorina has slammed the abortion giant Planned Parenthood for the “butchery of babies for body parts” and called on its CEO Cecile Richards to resign. She also dared pro-abortion candidate Hillary Clinton to watch the undercover videos by the Center for Medical Progress showing top Planned Parenthood employees discussing the sale of aborted babies’ body parts.
