Ted Cruz’s Amazing Response to the Claim Pro-Lifers are Responsible for Planned Parenthood Shooting

Pro-life presidential candidate Ted Cruz fired back at reporters this weekend for their biased reporting of a tragic shooting around a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood on Friday.

“The media promptly wants to blame [the shooter] on the pro-life movement when at this point there’s very little evidence to indicate that,” the Republican Texas Senator said. “This murder that occurred in Colorado is a tragedy.”

Much remains unclear about the tragic Colorado Springs shooting Friday that claimed the lives of three people and injured nine more. While abortion advocates and many in the mainstream media have been unjustly attacking pro-lifers for the tragedy, the motives of alleged shooter Robert L. Dear are not known.

The Blaze reports that during a campaign stop Sunday in Iowa, Cruz responded to multiple questions reporters asked about the pro-life movement and the shooting.

When a reporter asked about Dear’s comments about “baby parts,” Cruz replied: “It’s also been reported that he was registered as an independent and as a woman and a transgendered leftist activist. If that’s what he is, I don’t think it’s fair to blame on the rhetoric on the left. This is a murderer.”

He also reminded the reporter that the Dear’s comment about “baby parts” has not been confirmed yet by police. The statement was made by an anonymous source.

Cruz called out the “vicious rhetoric on the left blaming those who are pro-life” for the incident.

“We don’t fully know the motivations of this deranged individual,” Cruz continued. “It was a multiple murder of what appears to be a deranged individual. And it was horrific, it was evil, and we’ll find out more out about the facts, but I don’t think we should jump to conclusions.”

Unfortunately, the media turned on Cruz after he made the comments, blaming him for calling Dear a “transgender leftists activist,” according to The Blaze.

Dear reportedly mentioned “baby body parts” when arrested at the scene of the crime, but he has no connections with the pro-life movement and many who know him say he was never interested in the issue of abortion.

As LifeNews has reported, the picture neighbors are painting of Robert Lewis Dear, who allegedly shot over a dozen people outside a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on Friday, is one of a “rambling and incoherent” loner who never talked about abortion.

Planned Parenthood officials have confirmed none of the people killed in the shooting or 9 victims who were injured were Planned Parenthood abortion clinic staff or patients, and authorities have released no motive for the shooter as to whether or not he actually targeted Planned Parenthood. And, according to the Associated Press, all of the shooting took place outside of the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, not in it.
