In Virginia, Arkell and Dana Graves thought they were never going to have children after trying for 17-years. They suffered through four miscarriages and one stillbirth and had given up on having a family. Dana said, “We had everything planned. It just didn’t work out, so we kind of gave up.”
However, when Dana started exercising and couldn’t lose weight she decided to visit her doctor. He ended up giving her the surprise of a lifetime: She was five-months pregnant with a baby boy. “I was ecstatic. We hadn’t planned anything, we weren’t trying,” Dana explained.
The Daily Mail reports that Dana found a very creative way to tell her husband about their baby. She placed buns in the oven with a picture of a sonogram and a card that read: “Baby’s first picture.” Thankfully, she was able to catch his priceless reaction on camera and posted a YouTube video of it on September 25th. The footage shows Dana instructing Arkell to look in the oven. After he opened it, he asked: “You’re pregnant?” Then, when she answered yes he broke down in tears.

Dana said, “His reaction was just priceless. I wasn’t expecting that at all. I knew that he would probably be emotional but I definitely was not expecting the reaction I received.” Arkell added, “I’ve never been that excited before in my life and I mean not mainly for myself, for her.”
So far, the video has garnered nearly two million views and countless comments on YouTube. Under the video, Dana thanked God for her unborn baby. She wrote, “After 4 miscarriages and 1 stillborn birth, we had given up on the idea of having babies of our own, especially at our age…But God!”
