This week, Rep. Gerald Connolly (D-Va.) accused pro-life Republicans in Congress of waging a war on women because of their efforts to de-fund Planned Parenthood. During the third Congressional hearing looking into their organ harvesting business, he asked, “Why are conservatives waging a war against women?”
Then Rep. Connolly accused them of intimidating the abortion company’s president, Cecile Richards. He said, “My colleagues like to say there is no war on women. Look at how you have been treated as a witness: Intimidation, talking over, interrupting, cutting off sentences, criticizing you because of your salary.”
He continued, “The disrespect — the misogyny — rampant here today, tells us what is really going on here. This is about a conservative philosophy that says we are constitutionalists — that hold it up. We believe in rugged individualism and personal liberty, with one big carve-out though. There’s an asterisk in that assertion, and that is: except when it comes to women controlling their own bodies and making their own health decisions.”

However, CNS News reports that every day Planned Parenthood kills hundreds of unborn baby girls in abortions. Terence Jeffrey writes, “In calendar 2013, according to the CDC, 1,049 male babies were born for each 1,000 female babies. That means approximately 48.8 percent of the babies born that year were girls and 51.2 percent were boys. Assuming the 327,653 unborn babies Planned Parenthood killed in fiscal 2013 tracked the same male-female ratio as the babies born in calendar 2013, then Planned Parenthood would have aborted 159,895 baby girls and 167,758 baby boys.”
In other words, approximately 438 unborn babies die at Planned Parenthood facilities each and everyday. Although the abortion giant claims that they are fighting for women’s rights, the facts prove otherwise. Of course, killing girls in abortions isn’t the only way they prey on women; in the last decade they have hurt girls by aiding sexual predators, supporting sex-selection abortions and injuring women in botched abortions.
As LifeNews previously reported, in 2010, Planned Parenthood covered up the rape of a 14-year girl who was brought to their Ohio facility by her 22-year old soccer coach; and in 2011, a Planned Parenthood facility in Arizona failed to properly report a case of statutory rape. Their cover-up allowed the abuser to rape as many as 18 teenage girls. The most recent case of the abortion giant’s misconduct involved a 13-year-old girl in Colorado who was being abused by her stepfather when she became pregnant. When the stepfather found out, he brought her to Planned Parenthood for a secret abortion. In 2014, the girl’s mother filed a lawsuit against the abortion business for failing to report suspected child abuse.
Additionally, in 2012, Live Action released an undercover video showing a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Austin, Texas encouraging a woman to get a late-term abortion if she was carrying a girl. “I see that you’re saying that you want to terminate if it’s a girl, so are you just wanting to continue the pregnancy in the meantime?” a Planned Parenthood counselor named “Rebecca” offers the woman, who is purportedly still in her first trimester and cannot be certain about the gender.

“The abortion covers you up until 23 weeks,” explains Rebecca, “and usually at 5 months is usually (sic) when they detect, you know, whether or not it’s a boy or a girl.” Unfortunately, Live Action later released more videos confirming that the Planned Parenthood has no problem with sex-selection abortions.
