In South Carolina, presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina defended her past comments about Planned Parenthood’s abortion and organ harvesting business while visiting a pro-life pregnancy center.
She said, “Interestingly, no one has denied that babies are being butchered for their body parts at Planned Parenthood clinics and elsewhere. They’re trying to have a conversation about a technicality about a video tape. The character of this nation cannot be about butchery of babies for body parts.”
She also criticized abortion proponents for their dedication to protecting animals but failing to care for the unborn.
“They are perfectly prepared to destroy other people’s jobs and livelihoods and communities in order to protect fish and frogs and flies. But they do not think a 17-week-old, a 20-week old, a 24-week old is worth saving. This, ladies and gentlemen, is hypocrisy,” she explained.
Then, Fiorina admonished the mainstream media for targeting her but not questioning Hilary Clinton’s claim that abortions are only performed after 20-weeks for medical reasons.
“That is a lie,” she said. Fiorina concluded, “If it’s about women’s health, then why isn’t the liberal Democrat party willing to say that pregnancy centers like this should also be funded by taxpayers? Why shouldn’t taxpayers be paying for pregnancy centers in communities all across this nation to give women an opportunity to understand their choices, to really understand those choices — to give women an opportunity to be supported in those choices.”
As LifeNews previously reported, at the last Republican presidential debate Fiorina explained that she would definitely support de-funding Planned Parenthood and urged President Obama and Hillary Clinton to reconsider their support of the abortion company. “I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes,” Fiorina said, referencing the 10 undercover videos that showed how Planned Parenthood sells aborted babies and their body parts.

She continued, “Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain. This is about the character of our nation, and if we will not stand up in and force President Obama to veto this bill, shame on us.”
After the debate, Henry Olsen, senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, said on Twitter, “Carly just gave the best statement on pro-life from a GOP Prez contender since Reagan.” Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List, posted a video of the comments and said pro-lifer voters should watch Fiorina “knock it out of the park.”
Amazingly, following the debate, Fiorina jumped to second place in the polls. The Hill reported that a CNN/ORC International poll released this past weekend shows that she has 15 percent support among Republican respondents, which is a significant increase from an earlier poll that had her at three percent. Additionally, fifty-two percent of Republicans said Fiorina won the debate while only 31 percent who said Trump was the winner.
