In Delaware, Republican lawmakers have questions for their local Planned Parenthood. Earlier this week, Senate Minority Leader Gary Simpson (R-Milford) and House Minority Leader Daniel Short (R-Seaford) sent a letter to the Division of Health and Social Services asking for information regarding Planned Parenthood’s negotiations with organ harvesting companies. The legislators said they are not trying to criminalize abortion; however, they do want some questions answered.

Additionally, state Senator David Lawson (R- Marydel) sent a letter to Attorney General Matthew Den urging him to investigate Planned Parenthood. His letter said, “I am writing to you today in regards to the growing concern over the actions of Planned Parenthood. Seeing as how Delaware has had its own issues with doctors from Planned Parenthood, I strongly urge you to investigate this organization further.”

Senator Lawson continues by explaining that he understands Planned Parenthood does more than perform abortions at their facilities but that doesn’t negate the recent revelations about their executives.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately

As LifeNews previously reported, in five undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress Planned Parenthood’s top doctors are seen haggling over the price of aborted babies’ body parts, admitting to altering abortion procedures to procure salable organs and casually discussing ways their doctors can “crush” unborn babies to obtain fully intact parts.

The Senator continued, “The selling of fetal tissue and body parts is deplorable and the State is giving this organization thousands of dollars every year. I understand that Planned Parenthood does more than abortions and assists with other areas of women’s health care; however, we cannot turn our cheek to this horrendous discovery. There has to be accountability in order to ensure that this does not continue.”

The letter from Senator Lawson concluded with him reminding the Attorney General that the Planned Parenthood scandal should be disturbing to everyone, regardless of their views on abortion.

He said, “The first line on your website about the office of the Attorney General states, ‘Delaware’s Attorney General, our State’s chief law enforcement officer, has broad responsibility to combat crime, safeguard families, fight fraud, and protect consumers in the First State.” Thus, I whole-heartedly request that as the chief law enforcement officer you protect the consumers of our state, that you safeguard our families and potential families, and combat the crime that could be occurring in our own state through Planned Parenthood. This is not a pro-life/pro-choice issue, this is a criminal issue.’

In the past, a filthy Planned Parenthood facility in Delaware was under investigation because of complaints about their abortionist, Timothy Liveright. In 2013, Liveright was charged with multiple counts of incompetence and negligence related to abortions done on five women between February and March of that year. Some of the other charges he faced included over-medicating patents, doing unnecessary surgical procedures, and failing to properly monitor patients and provide appropriate emergency care.

So far, 12 states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, KansasMissouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. The district attorney in Houston Texas is also investigating after the Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion facility was caught selling aborted babies. and Congress has expanded its investigation.

Three states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana.

The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.
