Yesterday, Hillary Clinton’s campaign spokeswoman admitted that the former Secretary of State has not actually watched the Planned Parenthood videos showing their top executives negotiating the sale of aborted babies. Karen Finney told MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts, “I think that she said that she’s seen images or pictures but she hasn’t seen the videos.”
In July, Clinton said she found the footage “disturbing” but argued that Planned Parenthood provided “important services” for women. Then she came out with a video announcing her opposition to legislation that would completely defund the abortion company. In the video, she said she’s “proud to stand with Planned Parenthood” and criticized lawmakers who are working to take away their government funding.
“Republicans like Scott Walker and Jeb Bush are calling to defund PP, the country’s leading provider of reproductive health care. And they are joined by Republicans in Congress who will not waste a minute on voting to make that happen. If this feels like a full-on assault on women’s health— that’s because it is. When politicians talk about defunding Planned Parenthood they are talking about blocking millions of women, men and young people from life saving preventive care. Cancer screenings, breast exams, birth-control,” she said.
As LifeNews previously reported, White House press secretary Josh Earnest admitted that he had not watched any of the Planned Parenthood footage either. Instead, he said he relied on news reports from other sources and came to the conclusion that there is “not a lot of evidence” that Planned Parenthood violated any standards or rules.
However, CNN anchor Jack Tapper was not satisfied with that response. In an interview with Earnest, he said, “Well, somebody at the White House should maybe watch the videos in full.” He also reminded him that the unedited videos are available online. Surprisingly, Roberts suggested the same as Tapper during his interview with Clinton’s spokeswoman.
He told Finney, “…You make yourself vulnerable and Hillary Clinton makes herself vulnerable, President Obama makes himself vulnerable, Josh Earnest makes himself vulnerable if you don’t look at these videos in full context, but then come out in defense of them saying I’ve seen clips, or I’ve seen a small portion.”
So far, 12 states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. And three states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana.
