Will Planned Parenthood Side With Pro-Abortion Satanists Against Women?

If a woman is seeking to have an abortion in the state of Missouri, it is required that she be given medical information on abortion, how the fetus can feel pain by 22 weeks and wait 72 hours before having the abortion.

For Satanists, these restrictions are unconstitutional and violate their “religious” beliefs. Uh, ok.

So the Satanists filed a federal lawsuit this week against the governor of Missouri and the state’s attorney general asking for a religious exemption to the law. They don’t believe that a human prenatal child is a separate, living being, as science has proven, and want to be able to terminate its life at will. They also believe in bodily autonomy and that a woman should have the power to decide whether or not to remove “tissue.”

Sound familiar? It should.

Planned Parenthood’s website describes abortion as something that “empties your uterus” and says the doctor will make sure to “remove any remaining tissue that lines the uterus.”

Right, because any mention that a separate, unique, living human is being suctioned and destroyed would be bad form.

The thing is, thanks to modern technology and ultrasound, life inside the womb is easily viewed as just that: Life. It doesn’t matter if a Satanist, or Planned Parenthood, believes it or not – it’s the facts and that’s what Missouri lawmakers were making sure women understood who were seeking abortions.

But the Satanists are claiming in their lawsuit that Missouri is promoting one religion over another by regulating abortion “to promote some, but not all, religious beliefs that human tissue is, from conception, a separate and unique human being whose destruction is morally wrong.”

There are many secularists who look at the biology of when a sperm and egg combine and recognize that it creates a whole new life with its own DNA apart from the mother. It’s not a religious point of view; it’s a scientific fact, one that the abortion industry hates because once an abortion-minded mother sees an ultrasound of her preborn baby and hears the heart beating, it has the possibility of changing her mind, which means less money for Planned Parenthood.

Mary Doe is the Satanist that wanted an abortion at Planned Parenthood but was told to wait 72 hours per the state law of Missouri. She wrote a letter which said, “As an adherent to the principles of the Satanic Temple, my sincerely held religious beliefs are: My body is inviolable and subject to my will alone … I respectfully request that you provide me with an abortion today.”

Planned Parenthood has no issues breaking laws. Just check out the many times they skirted the law, such as refusing to report victims of statutory rape, captured by undercover videos from Lila Rose and Live Action. So it is kind of surprising that they refused the Satanist woman an abortion. Hey, maybe laws restricting abortion do work.

The Satanists show no signs of letting up and the liberal media are happy to push the story. ThinkProgress, Salon, and others all wrote favorably on the lawsuit, with the senior editor of ThinkProgress tweeting out “I love the Satanists.”

While no lawyer has so far taken the case pro bono, the Satanists are currently raising funds to pay for their attorneys. For donors who give at least $100, the Satan worshipers will ship them a children’s book – Satanic Children’s Book of Activities – for kids that make it out of the abortion facilities alive.

If the Satanists are successful in their lawsuit, business will boom for Planned Parenthood as more women will be able to claim exemptions and easily skirt the law. The Satanists win. Planned Parenthood wins. Prenatal children and their mothers lose.
