Abortion activists will take their abortion drone to Ireland after using it to symbolically kill two unborn babies in Poland, where abortion is generally prohibited.
As LifeNews reported, the first so-called abortion drone has delivered the dangerous abortion pill to Poland in violation of its pro-life laws protecting unborn babies from abortions. Two women who were not pregnant took the abortion pills to symbolically abort their babies.
The pro-abortion organization that formerly ran the abortion boat that distributed the dangerous abortion pill in international waters outside pro-life nations that protect unborn children has come up with a new marketing scheme to push abortion in pro-life nations: drones. On Saturday, the pro-abortion group Women on Waves sent an an abortion drone to deliver abortion drugs from Germany to Poland.
The group flew the drone a short distance across a river onto Polish soil and released a picture of the drone after it landed along with video footage.
Now, Women on Waves is taking the drone to Ireland to kill unborn children there and potentially injure women once they get the drones controllers back from German police, who confiscated them after the drone took the abortion drug to Poland.
Rebecca Gomperts, founder and director of Women on Waves, the not-for-profit organisation that sent the drone, and also operates a boat that carries out abortions off the coast of countries where the procedure is illegal, tells Newsweek that the first flight had been a great success and confirmed that the organisation now has plans to expand the project to other countries, including Ireland and Argentina, where women’s access to abortions are also severely restricted.
Women on Waves say German authorities are now seeking to press criminal charges against those involved in the drone’s first flight, but add that it is “totally unclear on what grounds they can take legal action”.
“Once we have our controllers back from the German police we can begin planning other missions with the drone,” Gomperts says. However the legal implications of sending a drone to women in Ireland, who can be prosecuted for taking the abortion pill themselves, will need to be addressed, she adds.
Ireland is going through a real social revolution, Gomperts says, adding that “many people are really fed up with the fact that the government is not in touch with the sentiments of the people who really want women to have access to abortions”.
Women on Waves took both parts of the two-part RU 486 abortion drug to Poland. A pro-life physician has described how the two parts cause the abortion of the developing baby. Dr. Mary Davenport explained how chemical abortions involve two drugs:
“Medical [chemical] abortion is actually performed in early pregnancy with TWO pills, the first – RU-486 – mifepristone or Mifeprex, antagonizes the hormone progesterone, which is necessary for pregnancy. This cuts off the nutritional supply to the pregnancy, ending in the unborn baby’s death. One or two days later the woman takes a second pill, misoprostol or Cytotec, which causes uterine contractions and expels the pregnancy. Medical abortion is frequently a horrible experience for the women, lasting up to 2-4 weeks with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hemorrhage, and intense pain.”
Although Women on Waves says the abortion pill is safe, evidence from the United States indicates that’s not the case.
The FDA in the United States has documented 2,207 adverse events in the U.S. of women who have had medical abortions, including 14 deaths, 612 hospitalizations, 339 cases where blood loss was so great the woman needed a transfusion, 256 infections and 58 ectopic pregnancies. Women who died from medical abortions died from a bacterial infection like toxic shock, hemorrhaging to death, ruptured ectopic pregnancy and massive heart attack.
