In New Hampshire, a pro-life sculpture won first place at the 15th annual Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Competition. According to ABC News, John Kane from the Hampton Beach Village District said the following about the event: “It’s a worldwide event where we fly in sculptors from all across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. They’ve come from as far as India to compete in this sculpturing competition.”

He also explained that the kids loved this year’s theme, which was “Ducks.” He said, “Oh the kids love it. We’ve got ducks, it’s one of the little themes we have. In the past we’ve had Avengers, and the kids really identify with all the different sculptures.”

The woman who won for her pro-life sculpture, Karen Fralich, will have her work displayed until July 5th. Additionally, she will receive $3,000 for her art that she entitled “Life.”

As LifeNews previously reported, in 2014, a sand sculpture in Florida was selected for “People’s Choice” award at the 5th annual Siesta Key Crystal Classic Master Sand Sculpting Competition. The sculpture was created by John Gowdy and Jan Zelinka and entitled “Miracle of Life.”
