Canadian Abortionist Quits After Harassing Patients and Telling Women to “Be Quiet”

In Canada, an abortionist who ran a filthy facility much like Kermit Gosnell has agreed to stop practicing medicine after admitting to professional misconduct. Kermit Gosnell was an abortionist who was found guilty on three counts of first-degree murder for performing illegal after-birth abortions in an unsanitary facility in Philadelphia

The National Post reports that Wee Lim Sim operated a clinic in Ottawa and often sent anesthetized women home alone in taxis. His facility was also so unhygienic that two-dozen women were put at risk for infections after their abortions.

At a disciplinary hearing, the abortionist admitted that he did “a few things not according to the standards of the College” but didn’t show remorse for his actions. Apparently Sim often threatened patients when he thought they were out of line and had a form letter for them that read: “If you do not keep quiet, your surgery will be cancelled and you will have to go to another doctor.”

As part of the deal he made with the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons, a charge of incompetence against him has been dropped and he was simply reprimanded.

Here’s more:

In their reprimand, members of the College’s discipline committee said it is “disheartening” to see a physician kicked out of the profession at the end of a “valued career, especially so when that career has been in an area which has provided controversy, conflict and even threats of harm to its practitioners and which has provided help for women, often in extremely vulnerable an distressing circumstances.”

The committee went on to “roundly condemn” his ineffective infection control, improper delegation to his staff, poor record keeping, and rude, aggressive style of communication.

“This is totally unprofessional,” said Lisa Spiegel, senior counsel for the CPSO.

Unfortunately, sometimes abortionists only receive a slap on the wrist when they put women’s lives in danger rather than having to deal with the consequences of their actions. For example, in 2013, Timothy Liveright, who worked at two Planned Parenthood facilities in Delaware, was charged with multiple counts of incompetence and negligence related to abortions done on five women between February and March of that year.

As Lifenews previously reported, some of the other charges he faced included over-medicating patents, doing unnecessary surgical procedures, and failing to properly monitor patients and provide appropriate emergency care. Like Sims, his facility was absolutely filthy and the abortionist refused to wear sterile gloves during abortions and wore smelly, blood stained scrubs.

However, Liveright was only charged $1,500 and Planned Parenthood was not held responsible. Additionally, a former worker at the Delaware facility reported to the state that the medical director at Planned Parenthood, Dr. Carole Meyers, engaged in unprofessional conduct because she failed to report that the abortionist was 1) disruptive in the practice setting, 2) sexually harassing other workers and 3) participating in substandard clinical decision making.

Unbelievably, the state didn’t prosecute the Planned Parenthood worker because there was “insufficient evidence to prove willful failure to report.”
