In Washington, an eight-month-old baby survived after an SUV crashed into his nursery at an apartment complex on May 19. The officer who arrived at the scene, Seth Tyler, said, “It really was pretty miraculous that there was no injury. The baby was kind of resting on top of the debris. The car actually hit the crib, partially collapsing the crib…”

Apparently the driver of the SUV, a 34-year-old woman, accidentally pressed on the gas instead of the brake.

Tyler explained, “She mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal while she was attempting to park here at the carport and went over the curb and into a building.” The police report about the incident revealed that the woman was learning how to drive and her husband was in the car with her.
