When Rosemary Siggins was two-years-old, she had to have half of her body removed because she suffered from a rare disease called sacral agenisis. The condition is also known as Caudal Regression Syndrome and impairs the development of the lower (caudal) half of the body. Unfortunately, Siggins couldn’t wear prosthetic legs because they were too painful.

Now Siggins is just 2 feet, 6 inches tall but is living a beautiful life. She got married and has two healthy children, even though doctors told her to pursue abortion. Currently, she’s considered the smallest mother in the world but she doesn’t let that get in the way of living her life.

The Christian Post reports that she uses a skateboard to get around and she says it’s the “difference between feeling trapped and feeling free”. Additionally, Siggins says her children love having a short mom and their friends thinks she’s cool because she rides a skateboard.
