Roxanna Haynes, a TV meteorologist and former Fox and CBS reporter, has told police that her ex-boyfriend forced her to abort their baby and then, a week later, choked her, the New York Post’s Rebecca Rosenberg reported today.

Stephen Jones, head of the KPMG auditing firm’s Global Strategy Group, and his lawyer, denied the charges.

Rosenberg reports that according to prosecutors, Jones told Haynes, “I will kill you and our unborn child if you don’t have an abortion. I will run away to China after I kill you.”

Jones allegedly

marched Haynes — a Verizon FIOS 1 meteorologist and former Fox and CBS reporter — to a doctor’s office to abort their fetus even though she wanted to have the baby, authorities said.

About a week later, Jones wrapped his hands around Haynes’ neck during an argument “and forcefully squeezed it, causing her to have trouble breathing and redness to her neck,” a criminal complaint says.

He was released on $5,000 bail after being arrested April 19 for alleged harassment, coercion and choking. “Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Louis Nock granted a temporary order of protection requiring him to stay away from Haynes,” according to Rosenberg.

Jones’ lawyer Adam Mehrfar told the Post, “The suggestion that she was somehow coerced is preposterous.” Mehrfar added, “She told him she was pregnant and demanded a large sum of money to get the abortion.”

In a statement, Robert Hamilton, who described himself as a close friend of Hayes, wrote that “Mr. Jones has the audacity to try that age-old tactic of blaming the victim.” Hamilton added, “After literally choking her and telling her he was going to kill her, he now wants you to believe she was the aggressor. That won’t work here. Facts are a stubborn thing.”
