In Russia, a woman is advertising for a man to get her pregnant because she is tired of hearing her mother complain about not having grandchildren. In the city of Chelyabinsk, Elena Komleva placed the ad on a social media website. Immediately, she was flooded with offers and told “contestants” that her mother would select the winning candidate.

According to the Daily Mail, Komleva posted the following on her Vkontakt page, which is similar to a Facebook profile: “My mother needs grandchildren to give them all the baby clothes she has been collecting. But nobody wants to marry me yet. So, if you are young, strong and healthy drop me a line. My mother will be in charge of selecting the candidates and announcing the winner. She knows what I need.”

Countless men have already responded to the advertisement. A man named Yuri Yuriev, 28, responded to the ad and said, “Hmm, a woman in need – I am here to help.” And another said, “I’m young, strong and healthy and ready to go.”

However, after a few of Komleva friends questioned her decision to take to social media to find a father for her baby she said, “There is nothing for me to be ashamed of. I was in love once, but I was also unhappy. I am hoping to find a husband, but if I only find a biological father that’s also ok. At least it will stop my mum going on at me.”

Currently, Komeleva and her mother are sorting through the applicants.
