Abortion activists and the liberal media have ganged up on yet another pro-life legislator for saying babies conceived in rape are human beings worthy of respect and who should not be aborted.
The dustup comes in the state of West Virginia, where state Delegate Brian Kurcaba took the side of unborn children, even int he tragic and heartbreaking circumstances of rape:
A US lawmaker reportedly stunned crowds by saying a child born as a result of a rape being committed was ‘beautiful’.
Delegate Brian Kurcaba made the alleged controversial remarks while discussing a law to prevent abortions in the state of West Virginia after 20 weeks.
Charleston Gazette reporter David Gutman posted his comments on Twitter.
Kurcaba reportedly told him: “Obviously rape is awful… what is beautiful is the child that could come from this.”
After abortion activists took to social media to denounce him, Kurcaba responded to the criticism:

Republican Del. Brian Kurcaba said Friday that he’s sorry if people interpreted his statement as meaning anything other than “all children are precious regardless of circumstance.”
Kurcaba’s comments Thursday during committee discussion on an abortion-ban proposal sparked outcry.
He said, “Obviously, rape is one of the most egregious acts that anybody can ever do to somebody. It’s awful. For somebody to take advantage of somebody else in such a horrible and terrifying and brutal way is absolutely disgusting. But what is beautiful is the child that could come as a production of this.”
One person who delighted by Kurcaba’s comments is Mary Rathke. She was conceived in rape and very glad she didn’t become a victim of abortion.

“Wow, did I just hear this correctly? Did you actually say that babies, even those from rape, are beautiful?” she said.
In the day and age when the child born from rape are called the rapist baby, when a republican talk show host says these children are evil seed and need to die for the crimes of their fathers, when those conceived in rape receive emails from people saying, “Your mom made the wrong decision, and you should have been aborted.” During this time, you actually publicly stood up and said that these children are beautiful?
Thank you! You are my hero! You see, my mentally ill mother was raped on her way home from work one night. I am a child that is a beautiful, and blessed. A baby who was conceived in rape. Someone must have sent you my picture, did you see my pretty hair, and great smile? Someone must have told you all about beautiful me!
Yes that’s right, all of you who want to criticize House Delegate Brian, go ahead and criticize. It doesn’t change the truth, rape is ugly, but killing me would not have made the memories of the rape disappear from my mother, it would have only ended my life. I am worthy of life!
