The Starbucks coffee chain is coming under fire for refusing to let a pregnant mom, who is 8 months pregnant, use the restroom at one of its stores.
Ilana Scheinker says she had a sudden urge to go to the restroom so she ducked into a local Starbucks but was refused.

starbucks“The urge hit me as it does many women who have two weeks to go,” Scheinker told KPNX-TV.  “I said, ‘I’m pregnant, I really have to use the bathroom now.’”

As sometimes happens in restaurants, she wondered if she couldn’t use the restroom without making a purchase. But, even after her husband offered to make a purchase, the Starbucks still refused to let her use the bathroom. The restroom had a locked door that required a security code to enter and Starbucks staff refused to enter the code.

The worker “said that we should leave, go to the Fry’s grocery store and use their bathroom. If we don’t leave, he’s calling the police,” Schneiker said.
