Remember the Benham brothers? They were the Christian identical twin brothers set to host a new program called Flip It Forward, the show HGTV cancelled because the hosts of the program are pro-life.

benhambrothersNow they are encouraging pro-life people to get out to vote this election season and they participated in a rally this week in Charlotte, North Carolina, where pro-life state legislator Thom Tillis is taking on pro-abortion Sen. Kay Hagan.

During the rally, David Benham told the pro-life crowd that Hagan is too extreme on abortion because she opposes a bill known as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. It would ban abortions after 20 weeks.

“By turning a blind eye to this bill, Sen. Hagan proves that she is not only pro-abortion, she proves that she is anti-life,” said David Benham.

During his comments, Beham said it is wrong to accuse pro-life people of being anti-women.

He said one pro-abortion critic told him on a national television show told him that he was anti-women because of his pro-life views.

“I was sitting there thinking and I looked at my wife and said, ‘Anti-women? Well, the last I checked, I really love women. I love my daughters, I love my wife, and I’m willing to stand up and lay my life down for those women that are in a very difficult situation and think that abortion is their only choice.”

This week, North Carolina Right to Life, the state’s oldest and largest pro-life organization, endorsed North Carolina House Speaker Thom Tillis for the U.S. Senate. With its endorsement, North Carolina Right to Life points to Rep. Tillis’ outstanding pro-life leadership as Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives.
