The Planned Parenthood abortion business in Wisconsin has had to close another clinic — the fifth since the state decided to yank its taxpayer funding. The abortion corporation is not happy about it.

“Today Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced it will close its family planning health center in Fond duLac on September 25. This is the fifth health center Planned Parenthood has been forced to close as a direct consequence of the state Legislature’s and Governor Walker’s elimination of funding supporting patient care at Planned Parenthood in the last budget cycle,” it complained. “Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin worked to minimize the impact of the significant budget cuts on patients, but the mounting costs of uncompensated health care contributed to the decision to close. ”

closdsign4But the news is meeting with cheers and elation from pro-life advocates working to protect women and unborn children from abortion.

“The closing of the Planned Parenthood clinic in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin is excellent news for the pregnant women seen there, for the most likely outcome of their visit to Planned Parenthood is an abortion referral,” Barb Lyons, executive director of Wisconsin Right to Life, told LifeNews. “As has occurred with the closing of other Planned Parenthood clinics, women seeking life-affirming health care services will be absorbed by other agencies.”

Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America also talked with LifeNews about the closing.

She said: “The closing of yet another Planned Parenthood facility in Wisconsin is great news for women and their unborn babies. Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the country and gets millions of dollars in taxpayer funding. For women who need assistance with pregnancies and other health concerns, there are several other places to go in Wisconsin that don’t provide abortions. We applaud Governor Walker for rightly withholding funding from healthcare centers that provide abortions. Abortion is not healthcare.”

And Troy Newman of Operation Rescue said the closing points to the sucess pro-life groups have had in shutting down Planned Parenthood clinics after revoking its taxpayer monies.

“The message is clear: when you take away tax dollars from Planned Parenthood, they close. The most prolife thing the state or the is congress can do is strip Planned Parenthood of all their funds,” he said.

This good new comes on the heels of massive drops in the number of abortions thanks to pro-life legislation.
