The Planned Parenthood abortion business has come under fire from pro-lifers over the years for refusing to speak out against sex-selection abortions. Now, in a letter to members of the California state legislature, the abortion giant may have given a reason why: it opposes a ban on sex-selection abortions.

In a June 12, 2014, letter to lawmakers, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California hand-delivered a letter to all California Assembly Members and State Senators. A copy of the letter includes five bullet points and the fifth bullet point includes specific opposition to “sex selection abortion bans.”

sexselectionabortion4Not only does the abortion corporation indicate it opposes a ban on aborting baby girls simply because they are girls, Planned Parenthood informs lawmakers that votes on legislation like a sex-selection abortion ban will be reported to its membership, where lawmakers voting pro-life for such a ban would almost assuredly be given black marks on its scorecard.

The California Pro-Life Council, which tipped off LifeNews to the letter, remarks: “PPAC may want to be selective in telling the general public that their pro-choice legislators actually voted in favor of “sex-selection” abortions.”

This is not the first time Planned Parenthood has confirmed it has no problem with sex-selection abortions.

The investigative pro-life group Live Action, which has released videos exposing the abuses at the Planned Parenthood abortion business across the country, released a new video in May 2012 showing a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Austin, Texas encouraging a woman to get a sex-selection abortion.

The video shows a Planned Parenthood staffer encouraging the woman to obtain a late-term abortion because she was purportedly carrying a girl and wanted to have a boy. The video is the first in a new series titled “Gendercide: Sex-Selection in America,” that Live Action tells LifeNews will be exposing the practice of sex-selective abortion in the United States and how Planned Parenthood and the rest of the abortion industry facilitate the selective elimination of baby girls in the womb.

“I see that you’re saying that you want to terminate if it’s a girl, so are you just wanting to continue the pregnancy in the meantime?” a Planned Parenthood counselor named “Rebecca” offers the woman, who is purportedly still in her first trimester and cannot be certain about the gender.

“The abortion covers you up until 23 weeks,” explains Rebecca, “and usually at 5 months is usually (sic) when they detect, you know, whether or not it’s a boy or a girl.”

Planned Parenthood responded to the video essentially saying it would not deny a sex-selection abortion.

The pro-life group later released more videos confirming Planned Parenthood has no issue with sex-selection abortions.
