The Christian family that owns and runs Hobby Lobby has released a new video thanking pro-life Americans for supporting the company and its lawsuit against the HHS mandate that forces Hobby Lobby and other businesses to pay for birth control and abortion-causing drugs for its employees.

hobbylobby7In the video (below), the Green family talks about the case and they hope it will help members of the public get to know them and understand their convictions better. The video highlights the Green family’s commitment to life, their generous treatment of employees, in terms of pay, benefits and work-life balance as well as their giving back to society. The Green family hopes the video will help their supporters and the general public to understand the significance of the case for religious freedom in America.

“People are saying that we are taking rights away from somebody, and there’s no way we are taking anybody’s rights away,” Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. employees, CEO David Green says in the video seated on a couch next to wife, Barbara Green. “It’s our rights that are being infringed upon to require us to do something that is against our conscience.”

“We believe that the principles that are taught scripturally are what we should operate our lives by, and it actually flows over into the business,” Hobby Lobby President Steve Green said in the video. “This is an issue of life. We cannot be a part of taking life. To be in a situation where our government is telling us we have to be is incredible.”
