Officials responded yesterday to a call from Baylor University Medical Center, where authorities discovered the body of a newborn baby in a bathroom area of the emergency room.

Dallas police have begun an investigation and the woman believed to be the mother of the baby has been discovered. The Dallas Morning News has more information:

Investigators say they’ve located the teenage girl who is believed to be the mother.

Because she’s a juvenile, she won’t be identified, and it remains unclear whether any charges will be filed.
