Kermit Gosnell was the gruesome abortion practitioner who was convicted on multiple counts of first-degree murder of killing babies who were born alive after abortion.

When Gosnell’s misdeeds first came to light, the DEA was already probing Gosnell for allegedly illegally selling prescription drugs. They called his abortion facility a “pill mill” by day and an “abortion mill” by night.

After Gosnell was convicted of murder, the next step for him was to potentially stand trial in federal court on drug charges related to his distribution of illegal prescription drugs that ended up being sold on the streets of Philadelphia. A conviction in this case might only affect the location of his incarceration.

Today, the abortionist struck a plea deal:

Authorities say the 72-year-old Gosnell ran a “pill mill” by day and a rogue “abortion mill” by night.

The investigation into his abortion practices came after federal agents raided the clinic over allegations he was flooding city streets with the widely abused painkillers.

Gosnell has twice come to federal court for a plea hearing, only to balk at the deal.

His lawyer, Jack McMahon, says Gosnell signed the latest plea agreement over the weekend, and is due in court for the plea on July 9.
