Abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell has been convicted on three counts of murdering babies in gruesome abortion-infanticides. In one week, a jury will decide his future fate — life in prison versus the death penalty.

Although pro-life advocates were delighted Gosnell was convicted over his abortions and infanticides, they are equally concerned about his eternal fate. To that end, Stand True leader Bryan Kemper has started a new effort on Facebook to call pro-life people to pray for Gosnell’s eternal fate.

“We commit to praying for the repentance and salvation of abortionist Kermit Gosnell, convicted of three counts of First Degree murder of babies born alive,” Kemper says.

“While so many people are crying for blood and for him to be executed,” Kemper wants to turn that anger into loving prayers for the eternal life of a man who showed a callous disregard for human life. “I want to start a revolution of praying for the soul of Kermit Gosnell instead of crying for his death. I want him to find the hope I found in Jesus.”

The effort to pray for Gosnell and his eternal fate has the support of other pro-life leaders.

The jury in the murder trial of abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell returned a verdict and found him guilty on three of the four first-degree murder charges he faced.

Gosnell was found guilty of killing Baby A, Baby C and Baby D and found not guilty of killing Baby E. He was also convicted on hundreds of lesser charges ranging from infanticide to running a corrupt organization.

The guilty verdict on these three counts subjects the abortion “doctor” to the potential he will face the death penalty when a second jury considers his sentencing on the convictions. At minimum Gosnell will face three life terms in prison. The jury that will be tasked with sentencing Gosnell on the convictions will begin its work on May 21.
