The jury in the murder trial of abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell today reviewed testimony from Lynda Williams, who has also been charged with murder for “snipping” babies’ necks. Yesterday, the jury asked the judge in the case to allow it to hear a reading of the testimony today.

Williams has pleaded guilty to third degree murder and she testified in the Gosnell trial back on April 9 and 10. Much of the testimony was recorded via twitter by local Philadelphia reporter J.D. Mullane.

Jurors were reminded how Williams warned Gosnell that abortion patient Karna Mongar appeared ashen, faint pulse, but Gosnell continued with the abortion anyway. She commented on the fact that the Gosnell abortion clinic was filty and that cats at the clinic urinated everywhere.

Williams also talked about the fact that Gosnell falsified papers to avoid Pennsylvania law preventing abortions after 24 weeks.

Williams testified about the demeaning way in which Gosnell would treat women.

And Williams testified about the neck snipping procedures.

Despite the gruesomeness of the infanticides, Williams didn’t know it was illegal.

Williams told the jury that as many as three babies would be delivered into toilets a day and subsequently killed, saying induced labor “precipitated” births of up to three babies per night – in toilets and in chairs.

Williams said she saw Gosnell cut necks of approximately 30 babies. He told her it was to bring “fetal demise.”
