Obama Labor Sec Nominee Ignored Planned Parenthood Sex Trafficking Issues

President Barack Obama’s nominee for Labor Secretary has already been exposed for his connections with pro-abortion liberal billionaire George Soros, but he also has another pro-abortion skeleton in his closet.

The Obama administration, in 2011, posted a new document to the White House web site touting its efforts to combat sex trafficking in the United States. But the document ignored Planned Parenthood — the abortion business where undercover investigations revealed staff willing to arrange for abortions for sex traffickers.

Tom Perez, the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the US Department of Justice and Obama’s selection for Labor Secretary, authored the document, “Protecting the Rights of Women and Girls.”

“Human trafficking — the equivalent of modern day slavery — is an affront to human dignity, and goes against everything our country stands for.  And yet, it occurs in so many communities; workers are exploited for labor behind closed doors, hidden from the public eye.  This includes horrific incidents of sex trafficking, where women and girls are forced into prostitution, often after being lured from other countries with promises of legitimate employment and better lives,” Perez says.

That description perfectly describes the sting operation that took place at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. In the video, actors inquire about testing for sexually transmitted diseases and contraception and birth control for their female underage sex slaves, who they describe as coming from out of the country. Planned Parenthood officials say they want to help the pair make their whole operation “look as legit as possible.”

The clinic manager, Amy Woodruff, an LPN who has since been fired, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws.

“Even if they lie, just say, ‘Oh he’s the same age as me, 15,’…it’s just that mainly 14 and under we have to, doesn’t matter if their partner’s the same age, younger, whatever, 14 and under we have to report,” Woodruff says. “Like on the paperwork there’s going to be a point that asks, uh, like are you sexually active, stuff like that … if they’re under a certain age… – you know, me and my other counselor, like for the most part we want as little information as possible – cause we don’t want to be involved…”

Woodruff also recommends how the pimp can get his prostitutes cheaper contraception by claiming they are “students.”

“If they’re minors, put down that they’re students. Yeah, just kind of play along that they’re students–we want to make it look as legit as possible,” Woodruff is caught saying in the videotape.

Live Action, which filmed the New Jersey video, filmed numerous other videos showing staff at Planned Parenthood abortion centers engaging in similar actions supporting and helping admitted sex traffickers with abortions, birth control and STD testing. But none of that makes its way into the White House document Perez authored on the Obama administration’s efforts to combat sex trafficking.

Marie Tasy, the head of New Jersey Right to Life, told LifeNews at the time: “The Obama administration condemns human trafficking and sex trafficking of young girls as “the equivalent of modern slavery” and calls it “an affront to human dignity” and says it “goes against everything our country stands for,”  yet it has been silent and refused to act to enforce the law against Planned Parenthood, an organization that has repeatedly been caught on video willing to aid and abet in the sex trafficking of minors.”

“It is the height of hypocrisy and irresponsibility for the Obama administration to claim that the Justice Department is committed to the aggressive prosecution of sex trafficking and then fail to enforce the law against an organization that was caught on videotape repeatedly aiding and abetting the sex traffickers of minors,” she said.

As LifeNews previously noted, a report in the Washington Free Beacon newspaper chronicles a partnership Perez has with one of the top money-men behind the pro-abortion movement in the United States, George Soros.

Prior to running for office, Perez was the president of CASA de Maryland, a Latino advocacy group that admittedly served immigrants regardless of legal status.

The group attracted financial support of George Soros and Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela after Perez’s tenure as president ended. CASA received more than $750,000 from groups linked to the billionaire hedge fund manager, as well as $1.5 million from Citgo, the state-owned oil company that helped make the socialist dictator a billionaire.

Perez received thousands of dollars in consulting fees for his work with the Public Health Institute, a nonprofit group that has received $260,000 from George Soros’ Open Societies Foundation. Perez consulted for the California Endowment between 2001 and 2009; the group is interested in expanding insurance coverage to low-income earners, including immigrants.

Perez served as a board member to the left-wing Center for American Progress Action Fund, which has received more than $7 million from Soros since 2004. From 2007 to 2009, Perez served on the anti-poverty group ActionAid, which received $2.2 million from Tides and several of its partner foundations.

Soros is behind groups that have attacked the Catholic bishops for opposing the Obamacare HHS mandate that forces religious groups to fund drugs that may cause abortions, he gave the pro-abortion group Human Rights Watch $100 million to expand its efforts globally, and he funded fake Catholic groups that helped cover up Obama’s pro-abortion record in the 2012 and 2008 elections.

After the Obama announcement, Sen. David Vitter announced his commitment to block the nomination.
