Pregnant on Campus, an initiative of Students for Life, recently released their new “Resident Advisor Kits” to equip Resident Advisors (RAs) to effectively resource women facing a crisis pregnancy on campus.
According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, approximately 46% of abortions in America are performed on college-aged women. Women aged 18–29 are over-represented among abortion patients. Those in their early 20s had the highest abortion index, and the highest relative abortion rate, of any age-group.
These alarming statistics are why SFLA created the Pregnant on Campus Initiative. When women are facing unintended or crisis pregnancy, they feel as if they only have 2 options: discontinue her education and drop out of college to raise her child or have an abortion in order to continue her education.

For some of these women, RAs are one of the first people they may reach out to when they find out that they are pregnant. RAs have the opportunity to influence and educate their peers in a unique way. Which is why pro-life “Resident Advisor Kits” are so important. By equipping RAs with the tools they need to resource women facing a crisis pregnancy, they will be able to provide life affirming alternatives, save lives, and save women from the heartache of abortion.
