Samuel L. Jackson is getting razzed on Twitter by conservatives upset with his comments about the Republican convention, which officially started today. Hurricane Isaac is heading towards the Gulf Coast and narrowly missed Tampa Florida, site of the GOP event.

Jackson is not happy about that.

Today, he tweeted it was “unfair” that Tropical Storm Isaac had spared the GOP convention and is heading for New Orleans instead.

In a tweet filled with profanity, Jackson said he was “not understanding God’s plan.” “Unfair s—,” the actor said. “GOP spared by Isaac! NOLA prolly f—– again!”

Jackson, about 30 minutes later, apologized for the earlier tweet, noting it stirred up Republicans upset by what he said:  “Apologies to God, Tampa, da GOP& Isaac(sp)! Who played the Race card?!”

Jackson’s comments come on the same day Ellen Barkin created a stir when she sent out a re-tweet of a message someone sent saying they hoped Hurricane Isaac would hit the Republican convention and “was every pro-life, anti-education, anti-woman, xenophobic, gay-bashing, racist SOB right into the ocean.”

The reaction from conservatives was quick to her class-less Tweet.

Bryan Kemper, Director of Youth Outreach for Priests for Life, said: “This is why we call pro-abortion people anti-life.”

“It is no surprise to me that the pro-abortion side would have things like this to say about other human persons, they already stand for the slaughter of innocent people inside the womb why not expand that slaughter to outside the womb?” Kemper added. “We have a President who cannot even acknowledge that a baby outside the womb is a human child, why should we expect any different from his supporters in Hollywood. Can you imagine the media uproar if Rush Limbaugh has tweeted this? Can you imagine how crazy Rachel Maddow would be going if any conservative or pro-lifer publicly called for a hurricane to kill people?”

“This is simply unacceptable for anyone to call for the mass death of people they don’t agree with. I have to ask Ellen Barkin a question, if hurricane Isaac does actually claim lives, will you be celebrating once you find out what political party they belong too?” Kemper said.
