Pro-Lifers Outnumber Abortion Activist at Planned Parenthood Bus Tour

Pro-life advocates in Illinois vastly outnumbered abortion supporters at one of the bus stops of the Planned Parenthood bus currently on tour promoting abortion and pro-abortion President Barack Obama. John Jansen of the Pro-Life Action League provides more details:

Even though we only had a few days to pull together a protest, more than 80 pro-lifers came out to the UAW office in Lincolnshire yesterday to protest as Planned Parenthood’s “PeptoBus” came to town for an event billed as a “women’s health rally,” but which amounted to little more than a photo-op for pro-abortion congressional candidate Tammy Duckworth.

Compare that astonishing turnout to the approximately 40 people who attended Planned Parenthood’s “women’s health rally” — many of whom were actually employees of the abortion giant itself — and you get pro-life outnumbering “pro-choice” 2-to-1.

Our protest today confirmed what we’ve said many times before: the pro-life movement owns the grassroots.

We stridently oppose a national chain that annually kills 330,000 babies and receives over $360 million of our taxpayer dollars.

And we will not stop. We will continue to raise our voices in opposition and make our presence felt whenever Planned Parenthood comes to town and stages a gimmicky P.R. campaign.

While the pro-life women’s group Susan B. Anthony List conducts its own bus tour, the abortion company Planned Parenthood is headed out on the road as well in a bus tour covering 11 states. The tour will promote abortion and pro-abortion President Barack Obama.

The Planned Parenthood Action Fund announced that it would be hitting the road, crisscrossing the country on a bus tour to “make sure voters know what’s at stake for women’s health in November.” The Action Fund is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, which does more abortions than any other abortion  business in the nation.

The Susan B. Anthony List “Abortion is Not Health Care” bus tour is moving through swing states August 20 to 30. The bus tour will travel to 30 cities throughout key swing states of Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Virginia, and Florida.  National and local pro-life leaders will rally Americans to defeat President Obama and pro-abortion House and Senate candidates including Christie Vilsack (IA), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Sherrod Brown (OH), Tim Kaine (VA), and Bill Nelson (FL).

“Pro-life women from across the country are hitting the road to expose President Obama’s abortion record – and that of his extreme team,” the group says. “Across Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Virginia and Florida, women will be speaking out, calling on voters to defeat President Obama — and those Senators and Senate candidates that seek to rubber-stamp his extreme abortion agenda — at the ballot box.”
