The weekly pro-life television program, Facing Life Head-On has earned one of the highest honors in the television industry, winning a Regional Emmy® Award.

The winning episode entitled A Lifetime Sacrifice was recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and received the award for excellence in the category of Specialty Programming — Military Programs.

A Lifetime Sacrifice is a patriotic program that shares the tragic and triumphant stories of American soldiers and their families who have sacrificed for our country’s freedoms.

“One of the biggest fears the families of those who serve have is that their loved one’s sacrifice will be forgotten. We are honored that our program could be a part of remembering our nation’s heroes and sharing their stories.”

This is the second Emmy® Award for the program. In 2010, Facing Life Head-On received an Emmy® in the category of interview and discussion programs. This year, two other episodes received nominations in the magazine program category.

Brad Mattes said, “Our American heroes and their families are putting themselves on the line for our liberties — first among them is the right to life. Therefore it’s our paramount obligation to work especially hard to secure that right to life for all Americans, including preborn children. This prestigious honor by the Academy is for the entire pro-life movement because we’re all working together to protect innocent human life from womb to tomb.”

Produced in Cincinnati, Ohio, Facing Life Head-On is a 30-minute news magazine style program broadcasted to over 100 million homes on various television networks. Fusing education with entertainment, the show promotes the value of innocent human life at all stages. The broadcast covers life-affirming topics such as adoption, disabilities, abortion, stem cell treatments and end-of-life care.
