Pro-Lifers Wait for One of the Biggest Abortion Decisions, Obamacare

Where were you on January 22, 1973? The day the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions were announced by the Supreme Court which made abortion legal, in all 9 months for any reason, in our nation.

I wasn’t born yet, but I can imagine what it must have been like for pro-life advocates to wait for that decision and all the emotion they must have felt afterwards.

Because I feel like that today.

At this moment, I am standing in front of the Supreme Court with the rest of our team and missionaries on Capitol Hill. Waiting.  Waiting to see if today is the day that we find out whether or not Obamacare is constitutional. And whether or not our rights of conscience and freedom of religion will continue to be defended by those charged to protect them.

This is the biggest moment for the pro-life movement since January 22, 1973.

And Students for Life is here, ready to go to make sure, that regardless of the outcome, our voice is heard. We want to be the first pro-lifers at the Supreme Court when this decision is announced to show the nation that this generation is pro-life, and we are ready for whatever the Supreme Court decides. Students for Life never stops, whether it’s mobilizing at the Supreme Court or starting and training over 720 pro-life groups on college campuses across the country. We’re there, every day at every hour, ensuring that the next generation is truly the pro-life generation.
