Actress Ashley Judd is a vocal supporter of the Planned Parenthood abortion business and that support is continuing, as she has signed on to headline a fundraiser for the Indianapolis affiliate of the abortion giant in December.

“She has been a pretty high-profile advocate for women’s rights and humanitarian efforts across the globe,” said Jon Mills, spokesman for Planned Parenthood, told the Indianapolis Star newspaper.

As the paper noted:

Planned Parenthood officials said that Judd’s name came to the top of the list of possible speakers, which included actress Susan Sarandon, during a meeting.

“Everybody really liked Ashley,” Mills said.

As an advance thank-you gift, Mills said they are putting together a care package, which includes a book on the history of the organization, another book, “Indianapolis Then and Now,” and possibly a gift certificate from Hollyhock Hill, one of Judd’s favorite Indy eateries.

Ashley Judd is no stranger to aggressively promoting the organization that destroys the lives of more unborn children than any other. She joined many of her Hollywood friends in 2004 to headline a pro-abortion march in Washington along with other celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Lisa Loeb, Christina Aguilera, Lisa Loeb, Ellen DeGeneres, Emme, Cindy Crawford, and Jane Fonda.

Two-time Emmy winner Patricia Heaton, the prolife star of the hit comedy series “Everybody Loves Raymond” talked years ago about why she wouldn’t join her friends at such a pro-abortion event.

“Many of the celebrities on the list are my friends,” Heaton explained, “but when it comes to championing abortion, we go our separate ways.”

“I find it impossible to subscribe to a philosophy that believes that the destruction of human life is a legitimate solution to a problem that is mostly social, economic and psychological,” said Heaton. “In reality, most women ‘choose’ abortion because they believe they have no other choice.”

“Women who experience unplanned pregnancy also deserve unplanned joy,” said Heaton, who believes abortion is evidence that society has failed to meet the real needs of women.

Marchers in the event said, “We won’t go back,” but Heaton responded, “If it is up to march organizers, we won’t move forward either. It’s time to raise the bar, not protect the status quo. Every woman deserves better than abortion, and every child deserves a chance at life.”

Heaton is the honorary chairwoman of Feminists for Life, a pro-woman, pro-life group that works to find solutions to abortion that affirm the dignity of women.

“Being a mother is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” Heaton concludes. “As a member of Feminists for Life, I want to share the joy of motherhood with other women, to enable women to make life-affirming choices for themselves and their children, and to elevate our society’s perception of mothers.”
