Obama Continues Stacking Staff With Pro-Abortion Activists

Barack Obama enjoyed the robust support of Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby throughout his campaign for president. As president, he has demonstrated his gratitude for Big Abortion by the customary means of public largesse, mandating that all Americans pay for “free” abortion pills, sterilization, and contraceptives regardless of whether their consciences call it murder, and making lucrative “Plum Book” appointments for abortion industry leaders who can help him sell his campaign against human life.

Shortly after his election, Obama chose former National Abortion Rights Activation League legal director Dawn Johnsen to serve on his Department of Justice Review Team, and Ellen Moran, former director of Emily’s List, as White House communications director. Melody Barnes, former Emily’s List board member, was tapped for director of his Domestic Policy Council.

Of course, the mandate itself was a huge payback for Planned Parenthood and other anti-life groups that supported Obama’s election. Through the mandate, the administration guaranteed them income via the forced subsidization of abortion, abortifacients, birth control pills, and sterilization by taxpayers, employers and insurance companies throughout the country. This guaranteed a continual flow of funds for Planned Parenthood—income which is over and above the nearly $500 million in tax-payer funds they already receive each year.

Someone must have told the president that there were still under-employed abortion peddlers loitering at the White House gates, because Obama just announced that he was hiring Planned Parenthood’s former media director Tait Sye to serve as a deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at Health and Human Services.

At Planned Parenthood, Sye was involved in defending Obama’s “HHS rule requiring that contraception be covered by most employers’ insurance policies.” Since he’ll be doing the same job for the Obama administration, his transition won’t be that difficult.

One wonders if there remain any more “jobs created or saved” for abortion industry operatives, or if they’re all now happily payrolled pushing abortion and sterilization at HHS’ “Office of Population Affairs.”

Sye’s appointment is yet again another example of Obama’s one-way “dialogue” with the American people on abortion, who have overwhelmingly opposed both his abortion pill mandate and the conscience-crushing Obamacare act that spawned it.
