Planned Parenthood’s 40 Days of Prayer for Abortion is Repugnant

Planned Parenthood is known for many things, most prominent among them being death, the promotion of sexual promiscuity, a war on the nuclear family, and financial support of the homosexual agenda.

Not exactly the kinds of things your pastor asks you to pray for when you gather at church on Sunday mornings, huh?

Nevertheless, the leadership at Six Rivers Planned Parenthood in Eureka, Calif., has undertaken 40 days of “prayer” “for women for whom pregnancy is not good news” and for the abortionists who will kill many of the babies those women have been “punished” with carrying.

Done in conjunction with the Humboldt County Clergy for Choice, who are seemingly more concerned with killing souls than saving them, Planned Parenthood’s 40 days of “prayer” goes from March 18 through April 27, and many of the so-called “prayer” days have themes to which participants are asked to adhere.

For example, “prayers” on day 11 were supposed to be about “better access to all forms of birth control,” including, quite obviously, abortion – the taking of a precious human life created in God’s image. And “prayers” on the last day are supposed to “give thanks and celebrate that abortion is still safe and legal.” No mention is made by the Humboldt County Clergy for Choice of just how participants should try to explain the discrepancy between God’s command, “Thou shall not kill,” and the abortionist’s primary job, which is killing an unborn child.

This sacrilege of “praying” for those things which God forbids is just another example of how the culture of death perverts every good thing. And in this instance, it has perverted the God-ordained means for his creatures to communicate with him (although I doubt that Planned Parenthood’s orchestrated “prayers” are either directed to God or heard by Him).

Of course, those who are overseeing these 40 days of “prayer” must have taken into account the fact that some women might hesitate to participate for fear of violating God’s word. Thus, through this perverted deception, they tried to make God’s word null and void in this matter.

Just check out the suggested “prayer” topic for day 25: “Pray for women who have been made afraid of their own power by their religion. May they learn to reject fear and live bravely.”

Ultimately, these 40 days of “prayer” are repugnant to the senses of rational people. They are a purposeful perversion of true faith, organized and executed by one the greatest enemies of life the world has ever known—Planned Parenthood.

I continue to pray that all federal and state funding will end for Planned Parenthood, so that the abortion mammoth will be forced to shut down its murderous operations. Amen.
