Democrats in Houston decided to throw their annual Christmas “holiday” party at the new Planned Parenthood late-term abortion business, but the faced protests from pro-life advocates.

The local Fox television station produced a report on protests the Democratic women’s auxiliary group faced at the Thursday night event. They defended their decision saying Americans have the freedom to assemble and celebrate at the location of their choice.

The women’s auxiliary of the Harris County Democratic Party held their politically correct-named “Holiday Party” on December 8 at the late-term abortion business Planned Parenthood runs in the southeast party of Houston that has gained national attention and controversy.

The location is no surprise given the close relationship the Democratic Party has with abortion advocates, especially in Houston. Houston Mayor Annise Parker spoke at the opening of the massive new Planned Parenthood abortion business (the location of the party) in June 2010, saying, “It’s not about the building; it’s about people’s lives; it is not about women, it is about families; and it’s not about what we do here today, it’s about our future.”

Parker lives with her life partner Kathy Hubbard, campaign treasurer for Planned Parenthood and Parker’s bid for re-election as Houston Mayor was endorsed by Planned Parenthood.

The gigantic abortion facility planned Parenthood now runs in Houston is a seven story, 78,000 square foot center that will eventually do abortions later in pregnancy.
