Students for Life of America has chosen Chai Ling, “gendercide” awareness activist and founder of pro-life and social justice organization, All Girls Allowed, to receive our 2012 Defender of Life Award during the 2012 Students for Life of America National Conference.

In addition to founding All Girls Allowed, which seeks to expose China’s unjust One Child policy, Chai Ling serves as the Founding President and Chief Operating Officer of Jenzabar, Inc., a leading higher education software and services provider. Prior to Jenzabar, Chai Ling worked as a consultant at Bain & Company, a leading global business and strategy consulting firm. She holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, a M.L.A. in Public Affairs at Princeton University, and a B.A. from Beijing University.

A key student leader herself in the 1989 Tiananmen Square movement, Chai Ling was subsequently named Glamour Woman of the Year and nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize.

She has also recently released a book entitled, A Heart for Freedom, in which she outlines her role as a student leader during the Tiananmen Square movement and her subsequent escape from China as a fugitive and her eventual successful entrepreneurships.

Students for Life of America is proud to present Chai Ling with our Defender of Life Award during our 2012 National Conference and honor her pro-life and social justice advancements.
