The movie 180, the Ray Comfort-produced documentary that shows how asking questions about Nazi, Germany can spark a change of heart in people’s minds on the issue of abortion, has reached 1 million viewers.

Since its official launch three weeks ago, the film has been viewed more than 1 million times on YouTube and the Facebook page associated with the documentary has catapulted to over 22,000 people. The film hit the 500,000 view mark on October 3 and hasn’t let up since.

The documentary is popular because it is just 33 minutes in length and it shows the conversations Comfort, a pastor, had with people who admit they are now looking at abortion in a new light after discussing the issue with him.

Comfort tells the Christian Post newspaper that the film has become so popular he had had requests to translate it into 19 different languages and ten different television networks have plans to air the film in the coming weeks and months. More than 135,000 copies of the DVD have been sold to pro-life groups and individuals and Comfort says 200,000 copies of the DVD will be distributed to 100 different college and university campuses on a single day soon.

“It’s the Church that will turn the tide against abortion in America,” he tells the Post. “Kay Arthur, Randy Alcorn and I worked on a 180 Course to help equip Christians to learn the principles used in the film. It’s a two-part, training course for all churches, groups, and individuals, so they can not only save temporal lives, but reach the lost. It will turn a church 180 degrees toward the least and the lost.”

“I am more than delighted that so many see that they can make a difference when it comes to the horror of abortion,” Comfort said of the pro-life people who like the film and have promoted it. “No doubt many good Germans gave their lives simply by asking what was going on behind the walls of concentration camps or by protesting when it came to cruelty to Jews.”

“We need not pay such a great price, because ‘180’ can speak up for us. All we need do for that to happen is for us to put our fingers to a keyboard see minds and lives changed, or to put it another way, we can use a mouse to move a mountain,” he said.

“We want every Christian who has access to a computer to realize that they literally have the world at their fingertips, and by promoting 180Movie.com they can not only see hearts changed about the horror of abortion, but people can hear the words of everlasting life through the Gospel,” he told the Post.
