Pro-abortion vandals recently attacked the web site of Students for Life of America, the national pro-life organization for college and university students. In fact, the vandals have repeatedly worked to destroy the SFLA outreach web site.

“Just a few days ago, our highly effective pro-life site, AbolishAbortion.com, was hacked by a gang of pro-abortion activists,” says Kristan Hawkins, the executive director for Students for Life. “As a result, we lost critical data, petition sign-ups, graphics, and social network communications. This breach of security was intentional – and it was very malicious.”

“This breach of security was a direct attack on the entire pro-life community; we cannot allow such dirty tricks to go unanswered,” she said.

Hawkins says the attacks came because she suspects the abortion advocates know SFLA is successfully educating the next generation of leaders and saving lives as a result of its work.

“Make no mistake about it: pro-abortion activists attacked us precisely because we are saving lives on campuses across the nation,” she said. “We know SFLA’s outreach is effective; we’ve seen the testimony of mothers-to-be who came perilously close to entering Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics and facilities.”

Hawkins shared the story of Julia at the University of Arkansas, who recently wrote to the organization:  “One of my Facebook friends, who I had actually never met before, called me because his friend was planning to abort, and he wanted to help her choose life but didn’t know how to approach her. He had seen all my pro-life Facebook posts and knew he could get personal, peer help from me (I was the only pro-life person he knew). I was able to talk him through helping her over the following week as well as refer him to local [Students for Life] resources …. and his friend chose life! She is actually excited about being pregnant now and has picked out clothes for her baby. Who knows where this young woman and her baby would be if her friend had not seen my Facebook and contacted me for help to approach his friend.”

Jackie Anderson, the communications director for SFLA, told LifeNews that the Abolish Abortion web site “has been continuously hacked into by pro-aborts” who have violated the platform on which the site ran, “hacked into our blog posts, our FDA petition site, and numerous graphics, social media updates and communications and some critical data.”

“It’s clear that this was a very malicious and intentional breach of security,” she said. “As of right now, the AbolishAbortion website has been taken down and will be reposted on a secure site on a later date. For now, we’re looking into running a slimmer version of the site until we have it reposted in its entirety. We’re taking the hacking efforts as a sign that our own efforts are successful and that we’re clearly hitting a hot button with pro-aborts.”

The hacking follows other recent cases of vandalism and targeting pro-life groups.

Pro-abortion vandals in Canada have hit a crisis pregnancy center on three successive occasions and abortion advocates slashed the tires of pro-life people in New Mexico.

Recently, the University of Buffalo Students for Life (UBSFL) group was hit by vandalism as pro-abortion vandals viciously attacked one of the group’s first events, their Cemetery of the Innocents Display featuring crosses meant to memorialize the 53 million unborn children who have been killed in abortions.

The vandalism at the college campus follows an incident that saw a group of pro-abortion activists vandalize and desecrate a Christian pro-life display students at Clarion University put up at their Pennsylvania campus.

In their attack, pro-abortion students vandalized the Clarion University Students for Life display by turning the crosses upside-down to form satanic symbols, and they dripped fake blood over many of the crosses they took up from the ground and placed in a pile. The abortion advocate then wrote the word “Pro-Choice” in the “blood” on the sidewalk in front of the sign the pro-life students put in front of their display to explain its meaning.

Also in May, students at Valley Lutheran High School spent Monday morning placing a set of 1,000 white crosses into the ground that were torn up that night and subject to spray paint from abortion advocates who plastered anti-Christian messages on them. The next day, the students worked to set the crosses up again and clean up following the vandalism.
