Although they promote dangerous abortions to women and are responsible for allowing the deaths of almost 27 million unborn girls from abortion, pro-abortion groups are using Mother’s Day as a fundraising tool.

Barkley Stuart, a man who is on the board of directors for the Center for Reproductive Rights, sent out a fundraising email asking for donations, saying, “My mother, Martha Rose Stuart was a tenacious, loving, and very passionate woman. In her honor, I’m proud to make a special contribution to the Center for Reproductive Rights this Mother’s Day. I hope you will join me with a gift in honor of your mother and mothers everywhere today.”

Stuart thanked his mother for teaching him about destroying girls in abortions, saying, “My mother taught me that without reproductive freedom for all women, the world would never be at peace. I fervently believe that still today. That’s why I’m proud to serve on the Board of Directors at the Center for Reproductive Rights. I do this work for my mother, but also for my teenage daughter, Josephine.”

“For all of the important women in our lives, I urge you to please make a Mother’s Day gift to the Center for Reproductive Rights today. We’ll send you a link to our Mother’s Day e-card that you can personalize and send along to your special someone,” Stuart continued.

he later condemned the legislation pro-life advocates are pushing that he claims are “assaults on access to abortion” and he said he wanted to work for abortion “and enshrine it as a fundamental human right for all women.”

“There’s no better way to celebrate this Mother’s Day than by helping to achieve that vision for all the women of the world. Please donate today,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Emily’s List, today sent out a fundraising plea from Representative Chellie Pingree, a pro-abortion congresswoman from Maine. She told recipients of taking her 14-year-old daughter Hannah to hear former Congresswoman Pat Schroeder, the leading abortion advocate in the House of Representatives for many years, to speak.

“We left inspired — and amazed,” she said and recalled how her daughter told her her state Senate seat was open and encouraged her to run. “Inspired by Pat Schroeder, Hannah told me I should go for it — and I did. Today I’m a congresswoman.”

Pingree, who has a 100% pro-abortion voting record from the National Right to Life Committee — voting repeatedly to force taxpayers to pay for abortions and to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business that fails to provide pregnant women any alternatives — says she is going to send her daughter a Mother’s Day card for enabling her to run for Congress.

“This Mother’s Day I’m sending Hannah an e-card, to thank her for inspiring me to become a leader in my community, and my country,” she said. “I encourage you to thank someone close to you this Sunday by clicking here and using the EMILY’s List e-card maker. Send an e-card today to someone who inspires you, thanking them for all that they do.”
